This shoot was the first self portraiture shoot I did during the COVID-19 lock-down. The stress of still needing to create work in a completely new city with no access to the people I would usually photograph was really getting to me. When first arriving back home, I found myself hiding away in my childhood bedroom all day, away from certain people in the house. I felt stripped away from my Independence and forced to live where I am not comfortable or happy. When this fabric fell from my ceiling, where it had been attached, I wanted to wrap myself up in it and hide. So that is exactly what I did.
